AskFRED recently introduced a new feature called "Additional Registration Fields". This functionality will allow you as a BC member or Tournament Organizer to ask for additional pieces of information for each Registration. Common use cases here would be to ask for a t-shirt size for tournament swag, or to ask for an email address to use for reporting referee clinic results back to USA Fencing.
To enable an Additional Registration Field, simply visit your "Edit Other Options" page an an existing Tournament, or visit the "Other Options" step when creating a new Tournament. You'll find a list of all currently supported fields. You can mark each field as requested and/or required - a requested field will simply be present on the registration workflow but optional, while a field marked as required will not allow a registration to move forward without providing a value.
Below is a list of our supported fields:
Email: we currently allow you to request an email address upon registration that will be visible to you. This will be a free-entry field that defaults to the currently logged in user's email address, but can be modified to some other address if the User desires.
Phone: this is a free-entry field validated against phone numbers
Tshirt Size: this will be a pre-populated dropdown input with basic shirt sizes - XS through XXL. If you have a need for more sizes, please reach out to support to discuss.
For phone and email address fields, we will require the user to be above the age of 13 to provide this information, otherwise they will be required to provide a parent/guardian's information.
If you have a need for another type of field, please reach out to support and we can discuss adding the field. Any abuse of these fields will result in being permanently removed from the AskFRED platform.
