Updating Clubs on Existing Registrations

How club values work on tournament registrations, when they update automatically, and how to update them manually for unsanctioned events.

When you register for a tournament, your club affiliation is saved at the time of registration. This article explains when that value does and doesn't update automatically, and how to update it yourself.

When Clubs Update Automatically

For USA Fencing and CFF sanctioned events, your club information is pulled from your national governing body membership record each time your membership data syncs. If your club changes with USA Fencing or CFF, your registration data will reflect that after a sync.

When Clubs Don't Update Automatically

For all other events (events not tied to USA Fencing or CFF), your club is locked to whatever it was when you registered. If you change your club on your fencer profile after registering, your existing registrations will still show the old club.

This is by design β€” some unsanctioned event formats rely on the club value staying fixed (for example, club-based team events).

How to Update Your Club on an Existing Registration

If your club has changed and you need to update it on an unsanctioned event registration:

  1. Go to My Dashboard

  2. Find the tournament and click View Registration

  3. Click the Update Clubs button in the header area

  4. You'll see a comparison of your registered club vs your current club for each event

  5. Click Update All Clubs to apply your current club to all unsanctioned events

Note: This button only appears when your registration includes unsanctioned events. Sanctioned event clubs are managed through your USA Fencing or CFF membership and cannot be changed here.
