Self-Service Fencer Record Claims

If your USFA membership number is currently linked to another user's account, you can now resolve it yourself without contacting support. When a conflict is detected during fencer setup, you'll see a "Resolve with Membership Card" option that walks you through the process:

  1. Upload your USA Fencing membership card PDF (downloadable from your USA Fencing member profile)

  2. AskFRED automatically verifies the card matches the disputed USFA number

  3. If verified, the fencer record transfers to your account immediately

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Payment records and tournament registrations from the previous owner do not transfer β€” only the fencer record itself moves to your account.

  • To prevent misuse, fencer records can only be transferred once every 3 months. If a recent transfer already occurred, you'll be directed to contact support instead.

  • This option is only available for USFA membership conflicts. For other membership types (e.g., CFF), please still reach out to [email protected].
