If you have USA Fencing referee credentials, you can set up a referee profile to be discoverable by Tournament Organizers looking for referees to hire for their events. Your ratings, certifications, and GTG status are automatically pulled from USA Fencing.
Privacy & Location
Your exact location is never shared. When you provide your location, Tournament Organizers only see an approximate distance (rounded to the nearest 5 miles) from their tournament venue.
You must use the autocomplete field correctly: Start typing your city or address and select from the dropdown suggestions. If you type a custom address without selecting from the dropdown, the location won't be saved properly and you won't appear in distance-based searches.
Making Yourself Discoverable
Check "I'm available for hire" to allow Tournament Organizers to find you in search results and send you messages through AskFRED.
Important: Your contact information is NOT shared. All communication happens through AskFRED's messaging system. To stop being discoverable, simply uncheck this option.
You can respond or ignore messages at your discretion. As with all messages in AskFRED, you can respond to the email notification you receive to add a response to the conversation.
If you want to exit the AskFRED messaging system to talk to the Tournament Organizer directly via email or phone number, you can provide whatever contact information you'd like in the messaging system. For privacy reasons, we will not provide this automatically.
